So this is a bit random of a topic as far as my blog is concerned but it’s been a topic of conversation amongst me and my friends/family for a while now and damnit, I need some content for this blog!
What I’m talking about is my apartment. Well, mine and D’s apartment. You may remember me posting about this place a few months back. We’ve been there since early August and we’re already counting down the days until we can get out of there.
Now, it’s not that the place is a total dump or anything. We actually have a pretty good layout in the place and I like certain things about it but certain things are starting to get out of hand.
Let me explain: I’ve lived in 2 different apartments (not counting this one) over a period of a little more than 4 years. In those 4+ years, my apartments had their share of minor problems but in the 4+ MONTHS since we’ve been here, I’ve already had more problems than those other two places combined.
The staff used to be awesome here but now it seems like they don’t care about anything anymore except for getting your money. My toilet ran constantly for nearly 4 months and it took several reminders to get it fixed. Our dishwasher doesn’t work and it still hasn’t been properly fixed, The oven had a bad burner when we moved in and it took them several weeks to fix that and then the whole damn thing went out shortly after they “fixed” it.
Our ceiling had a leak in it and a bunch of water damage occurred, causing rain to get into our apartment and bits of ceiling to fall onto our floor. It took several reminders fro them to come look at that one and, when they finally did, all they did to fix it was spread some spackle over the water damage. Well now the damage is back and a new spot has formed just below it. Bits of ceiling found it’s way onto our couch so I’m excited to see what happens with that.
Alright, enough whining for today. I’ve got some content for a fairly amusing update so expect that in the next few days. In the meantime, let me show you one of my favorite things about working at my computer:
